Hobbies

I have played many sports with swimming and water-polo being the ones I feel I am strongest at. I love swimming, but I eventually turned to playing water-polo when swimming 100's of laps every training made me bored. In sports I am generally a play maker, as I love to see a good plan be well executed. However I am not afraid for things to get physical if I need to be the one to put points up. I never felt as though chess is for nerds and sports are for dumb jocks. I have always brought with me a mental presence in sports and a dynamic competitive one in chess. The balance between a well trained mind and body are both very important to me. I also like taking part in creative projects such as writing, music and especially acting, ever since I enjoyed my time entertaining people with my antics when I was younger. I guess I have to mention traveling as a hobby, but you could guess that from the "citizen of the world part". I also love languages, as you really can't translate some things from one language to another, as there are subtleties that you have to just understand by being immersed in the culture. I have a decent handle on speaking French, Dutch, German, Polish, but I am still most fluent in English.
